DIY Recycled Denim Jean Tote Bag Embellished with Roses

With March around the corner, I am ready to think spring. This bag, made from a recycled pair of denim jeans, features pink ribbon roses which brings to mind flowers and warmer weather. The jeans made a roomy tote bag and the straps came from the legs of the jeans.

Recycled Denim and T Shirt Patchwork Tote Bag

With Baseball season around the corner, I made these bags from recycled denim jeans and t shirts. To use the t shirt fabric square I ironed on interfacing and then put a denim square underneath it before sewing it to the other patches. This is a great way to recycle t shirts and have a unique tote bag to support your favorite team.

DIY Recycled Denim Notebook Cover

This is a simple project to do. Just get a spiral notebook and lay it open on a piece of denim from blue jeans. Allow a 1 inch around the open notebook. Cut two pieces that would be the length of the notebook and half the width of the covers. You can add a reycled embellishment from another pair of jeans for the front of the notebook. Sew around the edges 1/2 inch from the edge attaching the two separate pieces that will be on the inside of the cover. Cut in 1/4 inch gashes around the edges about 1/4 inch apart and then wash in the washing machine to creat the raggedy effect. Makes a great gift to use as a journal or a small notebook to carry in your purse.
