DIY Recycled Denim Notebook Cover
This is a simple project to do. Just get a spiral notebook and lay it open on a piece of denim from blue jeans. Allow a 1 inch around the open notebook. Cut two pieces that would be the length of the notebook and half the width of the covers. You can add a reycled embellishment from another pair of jeans for the front of the notebook. Sew around the edges 1/2 inch from the edge attaching the two separate pieces that will be on the inside of the cover. Cut in 1/4 inch gashes around the edges about 1/4 inch apart and then wash in the washing machine to creat the raggedy effect.
Makes a great gift to use as a journal or a small notebook to carry in your purse.

Recycled Denim Tote Bags - Texas Style
These bags were made from recycled Levi western denim jeans and Rocky Mountain jeans. I took these pictures in Texas while visiting there to made them look more authentic.
To make the bags, simply cut the inner seam and cut the jeans off at the length you want them. Sew the front seam and then the back seam. Sew across the bottom and add straps of the desired length. These are fun and very sturdy tote bags or purses.
